Luzerne County’s Commission on Opioid Misuse and Addiction Abatement discussed four requests for county opioid litigation settlement funds on Wednesday, including one for $2 million.

A proposed $918,180 contract amendment with Luzerne County’s American Rescue Plan Act consultant is now before County Council.

The Luzerne County Commission on Opioid Misuse and Addiction Abatement’s regular Wednesday meeting will be open to the public for the first time — a change pushed by County Council members.

Luzerne County issued a notice for Modjeski and Masters Inc. to proceed with the preliminary design phase of the Nanticoke/West Nanticoke Bridge project, a news release said.
