Wyoming Valley West won the final three bouts Wednesday night to wrap up a 48-28 victory over Dallas in the Wyoming Valley Conference Division 1 wrestling opener for both teams.

Brayden Saracino (138), Ruan Collins (152), Lenny Kelley (182) and Taylor Bolesta (285) had pins for Dallas.

The Mountaineers are 0-6 after losing all of their matches at the Brian Bealer Memorial Duals in Boyertown Dec. 7. They headed to that event shorthanded because Kelley and Bolesta had just finished football season in the state championship game two days earlier.

Thaddeus Mead is 6-0 wrestling at 160 and 170. He had three pins and two major decisions at Boyertown and added a major decision against Wyoming Valley West.

Lake-Lehman

Lake-Lehman was shut out on the road Thursday against Lackawanna League Division 1 power Delaware Valley, 73-0.

The Black Knights are 0-2, but did have a sixth-place finish out of 15 teams in the season-opening Rough Rider Tournament Dec. 7 at Catasauqua.

Tunkhannock

Tunkhannock went 3-2 in the Case-Flynn Duals at Pottsville in its only action so far this season.

Luke Carpenter (160-170), Gavin D’Amato (145-152) and Dave Evans (132-138) all went 5-0. Nick Marabell was 4-0 with four pins at 220.
