Dallas graduate Ryan Zapoticky played a major role in a record-setting football game, leading Shippensburg University to a 69-67, five-overtime victory over East Stroudsburg University Oct. 3.
Zapoticky led Shippensburg back from a 27-0 deficit and combined with East Stroudsburg’s Matt Soltes on a National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II-record 15 touchdown passes in the game.
The longest game in Shippensburg history ended on Zapoticky’s winning two-point conversion pass.
Zapoticky finished 28-for-50 for 320 yards and six touchdowns with just one interception. He also carried 11 times for 103 yards.
