The Back Mountain Chamber recently honored the Back Mountain Memorial Library and made a $1,000 donation to its board of directors. The Chamber’s Cultural Event Committee held a Back to Woodstock dance at the Irem Country Club Pavilion on Aug. 30 where the library was recognized for its long-time dedication to the community through access to information, ideas, and knowledge in the form of books, programs and other resources. A basket raffle was held during the event which benefited the library. Attending the presentation of the plaque and check were, from left, Cynthia Post Mitchell, Karen Shuster, Martha Butler Sandy Race.
