WILKES-BARRE — Chase Feeney and Courtney Wagner, of Shavertown, both students at King’s College, were recently inducted into the college’s Delta Epsilon Sigma Honor Society. The national organization was founded in 1939 and the King’s chapter was established in 1964. Candidates for membership must have a record of “outstanding” academic accomplishment, a demonstrated commitment to service, and have completed at least 50 percent of their course work for a bachelor’s degree with a minimum grade point average of 3.6.
A junior accounting major with a forensic accounting and criminal justice minor, Feeney is the vice president of the college’s Accounting Association. He is also a member of the Aquinas, Delta Epsilon Sigma, and Institute of Management Accountants honor societies.
A senior elementary and special education major, Wagner is the president of the college’s Education Club. She is also currently student teaching at the Wyoming Area School District.
