NOXEN — The 11th Annual Noxen Fall Intertribal Powwow was held Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 26-27 at the Noxen Fire Co. grounds on Stull Road. The event, which shares the culture of various Native tribes, was a gathering for all people.

Head Male Dancer was Bob Turkey Dancer Brown, while Head Female Dancer was Kandra Wind Dancer Brown. Drums included Otter Creek Singers, Eagle Thunder, Pretty Elk Singers and One Heart Drum.

The event featured Native American dancing, drumming, storytelling, children’s dances, fry bread by Carolyn, crafts, beadwork, leatherwork, books, CDs, jewelry, beads and beading supplies, t-shirts, blankets, food by the Noxen Fire Co. and much more.
