DALLAS TWP. — The Dallas Days Bicentennial Fireman’s Bazaar, Parade and Fireworks event is scheduled for Saturday, July 1 at the Luzerne County Fairgrounds.

The free event will feature a rodeo demonstration, petting zoo, Barnyard Olympics and a host of family-friendly activities, food vendors.

There will be an old-fashioned Fireman’s Olympics event that includes games that even the children can participate in to earn prizes.

All fire companies are invited to take part in the Fireman’s Olympics.

Teams can pre-register by Friday, June 30. Registration is also availabe the day of the event. Registration can be made by calling 570-899-4792 or email [email protected].

The bazaar will start at 3 p.m. The parade will begin at 5 p.m. from Yalick Road, following west on Route 118, to the fairgrounds.

A special commemorative program will be held in the horse show arena, hosted by the Dallas American Legion Post 672, immediately following the parade.

A bicentennial fireworks display by Pizza Paul will begin at dusk.
