Alex Kapral tossed a four-hitter and Dallas did all the game’s scoring in the top of the sixth inning Thursday to post a 3-0 victory over Berwick and clinch at least a tie for first place in Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2 baseball.
Mike Luksic drove in two of the runs in the inning and Sam Nocito drove in the other.
Kapral struck out five and walked two.
Zach Luksic had a single and double.
Dallas, which is seeking its third straight division title outright, is 7-5 in the WVC going into the final regular-season game Tuesday against Wyoming Area. The Warriors are tied with Tunkhannock, which plays Nanticoke Tuesday, for second place with 6-6 records.
The Mountaineers are 12-5 overall and lead the race for the top seed in the District 2 Class 4A playoffs.
Lake-Lehman also leads the race for the top seed in District 2 Class 3A. It has clinched a district playoff berth, along with Tunkhannock, which will join Dallas in the 4A tournament.

DALLAS TWP. – Dallas regained the division lead Wednesday when Darren Kerdesky struck out 10 while allowing just one run on four hits in 5 1/3 innings.
“Today, he was very crisp,” Dallas coach Ken Kashatus said. “I could tell watching about five throws in the bullpen that he was going to be OK today.”
Jake Shaver’s two-run homer down the right-field line gave Dallas the lead in the bottom of the first.
Mike Luksic tripled and scored in the bottom of the third for a 3-1 lead.
Wyoming Seminary 4
Lake-Lehman 3
Wyoming Seminary used four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to take the WVC Division 3 lead away from Lake-Lehman.
The Black Knights rallied in the bottom of the seventh with two runs, but fell short.
Alex Magdalinski had two hits and two RBI for Lake-Lehman.
Wyoming Seminary is 10-2 with two games left in the division. Lake-Lehman, which plays at Meyers Friday afternoon, is 9-2 in the division and 12-3 overall.

Tyler Faux had two hits, drove in a run and got the final out to save the win for Nick Reposa as Tunkhannock won Tuesday to extend its winning streak to four games, clinch a district playoff berth and tighten the WVC Division 2 race.
Mike Luksic had two hits and an RBI for Dallas.
