DALLAS — For those who might a appreciate an opportunity to get out of the house on a weekend afternoon, stepping away from the stove and spending time with friends and family, a spaghetti dinner to be held at Meadows Manor this Sunday is a wonderful way to enjoy time out for a good cause.

Bridget Whitesell, a longtime employee at the Meadows, lost her Hunlock Creek home to fire on Feb. 8. Although her house was destroyed, Whitesell immediately expressed gratitude to firefighters and emergency personnel for getting to the scene quickly, ensuring that no one was hurt.

Whitesell, who has been an employee of the Manor since 2004, works tireless to help residents every day. Residents adore her and laud her for her compassionate care.

Fellow workers, too, enjoy working with Whitesell, and quickly moved into action to help her.

Sunday’s meal will be a labor of love, providing opportunity for area residents to enjoy a delicious meal while helping Whitesell to re-estbalish her life.

“The Manor is happy to host this event for Bridget and all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to her,” said Melissa Margotta.

The dinner will be held from noon to 3 p.m. at Meadows Manor, 200 Lake Street, Dallas.

Adult tickets are $10 and tickets for children 5-12 are $6. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time at The Manor or at the door the day of the event.

Takeouts will also be available.

Dinner includes spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread, dessert and drink.
