DALLAS TWP. — The Department of Social Work at Misericordia University recently hosted alumna Robin S. Mama, Ph.D., M.S.S., L.S.W., professor and dean of the School of Social Work at Monmouth University, for a special lunch and learn with students and faculty.

Dr. Mama received her Bachelor of Social Work degree at Misericordia University in 1982. She also holds a Master of Social Service and Master of Law and Social Policy, and a Doctor of Philosophy in social work and social research from Bryn Mawr College. Since 2001, she has been the representative of the International Federation of Social Workers to the United Nations.

During her visit to Misericordia University, Mama visited and had lunch with her former professors, while also meeting with students and talking about rewarding careers in the field of social work, including her work on behalf of social work professionals at the United Nations.
