Two of the 10 teams at the Little League Softball World Series finished up play in a Tuesday consolation game.

Latin American champion Cuauhtemoc from Monterrey, Mexico defeated Europe-Africa champion Northwest Czech Republic from Prague, 6-5. Cuauhtemoc finished 2-3 in the tournament. The Czech Republic team was the only one to go winless in five games.

There are three more consolation games today before Tunkhannock (5-1) meets Central champion Wheelersburg, Ohio (4-2) for the title at 10 p.m. on ESPN.

The schedule starts with Monday’s quarterfinal losers playing in a pair of games at 1 and 3:30 p.m.

Southeast champ Daniel Boone from Grey, Tenn. (2-3) and Asia-Pacific champ Bacolod City West from the Philippines (1-4) start the schedule. Daniel Boone handed Tunkhannock its only loss of the tournament. Bacolod City West suffered all four of its losses by a single run, including an extra-inning quarterfinal against Tunkhannock.

West champion Kirkland, Wash. (3-2) plays Canadian champion Layritz from Victoria, British Columbia (2-3). Kirkland opened the tournament with three straight wins before losing, 12-2, to Tunkhannock Saturday in the game that decided the Pool A title.

The semifinal losers meet for third place at 6 p.m.

Southwest champion Eastbank from River Ridge, La. (5-1) plays host team Lake Oswego, the Oregon District 4 champion (3-3).
