DALLAS — Friedman Electric employees, family and friends participated in the 10th annual Pauly Friedman 5K at Misericordia University with all proceeds benefiting Help Line/2-1-1, a first response line for crisis calls. Help Line has been a loyal safety net for NEPA residents for the past 46 yearsm assisting 85,420 callers just last year.
Team Friedman consisted of 17 members, four of whom brought home winning medals. Medal recipients were Tyler Uravage, Tino Alunni, Clem Rec, and Gulnara Sadowski.
The Pauly Friedman 5K is held in memory of Pauly Friedman, former owner of Friedman Electric Supply. Friedman was a board member at Family Service Association of NEPA where she served as board chair from 1988 through 1990 and organized the first fundraiser for Family Service Association of NEPA in modern history. She also formed the Friends Committee, the volunteer fundraising arm of Family Service Association of NEPA. The Walk/Run is held in memory of her commitment to families.
