Thomas V. Amico, of Kingston Twp. has been named president and chief executive officer of Landmark Community Bank.

Former President and Chief Executive Officer Dan Nulton, who recently retired from his post, will serve as an advisor during the transition period.

Amico is a graduate of The University of Scranton with a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting.

He started his career with the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation in Washington, DC where he was a pension analyst/case officer. He worked with the U.S. Small Business Administration as an auditor and senior loan specialist for eight years.

Amico spent 13 years with First Bank/First Union as commercial lender and SBA loan manager. He later became Vice President, Senior Relationship Manager.

He spent 10 years with M & T Bank as middle market group manager and team leader. In this position, he had responsibilities for underwriting loan risk, crafting loan analysis and presenting loan recommendations to the senior loan committee.

Amico worked for Penn Star/NBT as Vice President Senior Commercial Banking Relationship Manager.

Prior to joining Landmark Community Bank, he was market executive for First National Bank of PA as Senior Vice President, where he managed three team leaders and eight lenders with a $575 million commercial loan portfolio. He was responsible for Northeastern and North Central PA.

Amico was a board member of the Better Business Bureau for 10 years. He is a 15-year board member of the Greater Pittston Chamber of Commerce and served as its president. He is currently a board member of Penn’s Northeast, having served for more than 10 years. He has been a board member of the Greater Pittston YMCA for more than 20 years.
