Dallas Post photographer Charlotte Bartizek has shared her favorite photo of local businessman and farmer Norman Darling Sr., who passed away at home May 4 at the age of 88. Norman was the owner of Darling & Sons Farms and Greenhouses located in Plains Township and Dallas, established 1918. He loved working the family business with his sons and wife. He spent countless hours in the fields doing what he loved and it gave him much pride. Norman embraced a life that focused on his family, friends and community. He always had a joke to brighten your day and a story to share.
