WYOMING — State police will be out in full force as commuters his the road for Thanksgiving.

Pennsylvania State Police at Wyoming will be increasing the number of patrols on area roads and highways over the Thanksgiving holiday period Wednesday to Sunday, according to a news release.

There will also be an increase in patrols along highways to strictly enforce the speed limit, seat belt and construction zone laws.

Thomas Kelly, spokesman for Troop P at Wyoming, urged motorists to not drive impaired and to wear seat belts at all times.

“We are encouraging drivers to drive defensively not aggressively,” Kelly said in a news release. “The simplest way to avoid traffic violations is to know the law and to drive within the limits of it.”
