A cloudy Thursday in the Wyoming Valley will pave way to possible rain showers through the weekend.
The National Weather Service indicated that it was 57 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with cloudy skies reported.
Today will be mostly cloudy with a high near 70. The low tonight will be around 57 with mostly cloudy skies.
On Friday, there is a chance of showers, with thunderstorms possible after noon. A mostly cloudy day will feature a high near 73. Chance of precipitation will be 50 percent. Rainfall amounts will be less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Before 9 p.m. on Friday, a chance of showers and thunderstorms are possible with a slight chance of showers after 9 p.m. The low will be around 52. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
Temperatures will begin to fall back to normal on Saturday. A partly sunny day to start your weekend will feature a high of 57 degrees. The low on Saturday night will be 37 degrees.
