DALLAS — The public is invited to a single evening Celebration Exhibition of the work the Summer Studio Society at Sue Hand’s Imagery from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 17.

Twenty-seven local artists and art students, who are members of the Summer Studio Society, have been creating drawings and paintings almost daily since mid-June.

The group has produced a body of work which ranges from classic oil landscapes, seascapes, and still lifes in oil, watercolor and acrylic to realistic portraits, various types of illustrations and innovative compositions in mixed media.

Instructors Sue Hand and Mike Hiscox, both of Dallas, and Nicole Delevan, Forty Fort will exhibit their summer’s works.

Also participating in the exhibit are: Emily Andrews, Bear Creek Township; Claire Sheen, Mountain Top; Rachel Caudell, Mehoopany; Natasha and Annabella Stack, both of Wyoming; Abby Hastings, Nicole Jacobs, Emily James, Carolyn Kerkowski, Alexis Lanza, Jenna Maslowski and Josh Peters all from Dallas; Rose Luksha, Larksville; Cassy Perry, Nanticoke; Samantha Packer, Pringle; Kira Zack, Dupont; Caroline Majeski, Plains; Anthony and Miranda Nardone, Johanna Kiska, Allison and Sarah Stallard, Shavertown, Lexie Oster, Trucksville; and Serge Doamba, Senegal, Western Africa. Kerkowski, Majeski and Packer are also art instructors for the younger students.

The event will also include a Meet the Artists reception.
