DALLAS TWP. — The 2016 Annual Fund Campaign for the Dallas Foundation for Excellence in Education, Inc. is underway. The campaign will raise funds to support initiatives and projects in the Dallas School District by way of scholarships, improved facilities/equipment and support of numerous educational, athletic and extracurricular activities.

The Dallas Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation formed in 2011 by a group of parents of Dallas School District students. Over the last five years, the foundation has funded over $220,000 of various projects and initiatives benefiting the students of the Dallas School District. These projects and initiatives have benefited approximately 65 classrooms at the high school, middle school and elementary schools.

A partial list of the projects/initiatives funded by the Dallas Foundation include an Apple iPad lab for the Dallas Middle School; Promethean Boards for 27 elementary school classrooms; over 50 notebook computers for high school and middle school classrooms; the digital electronic message board for the Dallas School District; over 50 iPads for elementary school classrooms; digital keyboard for the middle school music department; annual scholarships to graduating seniors and financial support to numerous clubs, events and programs at the high school, middle school and elementary schools.
