The circle opens at 10 a.m. both days with storytelling by Grace Dove. Grand entry of all dignitaries, veterans and dancers in full regalia will start at noon. Circle hours are noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Parking and admission are free, and the event is handicapped accessible.

Head male dancer is Bob Turkey Dancer Brown, while head female dancer is Kandra Wind Dancer Brown. Drums will include Otter Creek Singers, Eagle Thunder, Pretty Elk Singers and One Heart Drum.

The event will feature Native American dancing, drumming, storytelling, children’s dances, fry bread by Carolyn, crafts, beadwork, leatherwork, books, CDs, jewelry, beads and beading supplies, t-shirts, blankets, food by the Noxen Fire Co. and much more. A chili contest will be held Friday evening and will cost $1 per bowl, with the winner receiving a cash prize.

Vendors’ set-up day is Friday, Sept. 26. All dancers and vendors must register before setting up and will receive two meal tickets. Additional tickets can be earned by volunteering or paying $10 for the weekend. Saturday evening’s meal is potluck and participants should bring a dish to share. Food donations are needed and will be greatly appreciated. Donors should contact Dianne Running Wolf. Attendees are asked to bring a dish to share and their own place settings: plate, bowl, spoon, fork, etc. Wash stations will be available.

Camping is allowed but electricity is limited and costs $7 per day. No camping spaces will be reserved; spaces are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Vendors may set up as early as Thursday and may tear down their sites on Monday.

Dogs are welcome but must be kept quiet, leashed and cleaned up after at all times. Any holes that dogs dig must be filled in. Alcohol, drugs, guns and politics of any kind are not allowed. Violators will be asked to leave.
