WILKES-BARRE — Northeastern Pennsylvania’s classic hits station 105 The River will be adding two new frequencies in Luzerne County to celebrate its success during its 10th anniversary.

The station, which broadcasts at 104.9 FM, will now add frequencies at 100.7 FM for Wilkes-Barre and Back Mountain and 1340 AM (WYCK) throughout Luzerne County.

The River is part of the Bold Gold Media Group.

“…While our 104.9 FM frequency comes in very well in most of Luzerne County, there are certain areas, based on terrain, that some of our fans wished we came in a bit stronger,” Bold Gold general manager, Brian Spinelli said in a press release. “This addition will not only add an extra FM frequency to The River for those areas but will also add our unique programming to the AM band at 1340 as well. We though this would be a wonderful 10th anniversary addition to our station.”
