FORKSTON — Route 87, between Main Road in Forkston and Sheehans Road in Mehoopany, is closed in both directions because of flooding.
Additionally, flood waters washed a propane tank down in to a creek and under a bridge, where it became lodged. Emergency Management crews on on scene and Route 87, near Route 3001, has been closed. Pennsylvania Department of Transportation officials indicated the road, between Mehoopany and Lovleton, will reopen at about 6 p.m.
Route 267, on the Wyoming County and Susquehanna County border, has also been closed because of flooding.
High water has also been reported on Sugar Hollow Road, near Route 29 in Rosengrant, WYoming County. PennDOT has also indicated this road may be closed.
