Lake-Lehman School District rolls out new website design

LEHMAN TWP. — The way the community can view the Lake-Lehman School District has been changed.

The district rolled out a bold new online presence Jan. 27 with a photo-heavy site that allows parents and caregivers the ability to email faculty and administrators with one click, said Tracey Liparela, assistant to the superintendent.

“The website features more graphics and modern design,” Liparela said. “It really showcases students’ accomplishments in academics, the arts, sports.”

The Lake-Lehman website, www.llsd.org, still contains the same type of content but it is just laid out differently, Liparela said.

“The mobile site is a self-rendering format,” she said, adding the website content automatically fits the screen of the device.

Each of the district’s three elementary schools and the high school still have individual links on the site, taking visitors to a more tailored site with parent-student-related resources such as absence slips, links for the Renaissance Accelerated Reader 360 and much more.

The district’s home page offers links to the Lake-Lehman Foundation, scheduled events, student registration and a link to Parent Portal, an online program allowing parents and caregivers to track their child’s academic progress.

The district used an outside vendor named School Webmaster, she said.

“It (website) site took four months to complete,” Liparela said.
