Kaitlyn Kochanski, Nikki Wren and Katie Kravitsky won field event titles for Dallas April 24 at the Lasagna Invitational track and field meet in Wyalusing.
Kochanski won the discus with a throw of 106-10 and also placed third in the shot put with 32-4 ¼.
Wren won the javelin title at 115-11.
Kravitsky took the high jump by clearing 5-4.
Hollie Holthaus, Annalise Cheshire, Mikaila Chakon and Samantha Mazula ran the 400-meter relay in 52.89 seconds to finish second.
Without fielding their full lineup, the Dallas girls were eighth out of 22 teams in the meet with 51 points.
Uzee Ukattah led the way for the Dallas boys, placing third in the 100-meter dash.
Tunkhannock placed fourth in the girls standings and ninth in boys.
Ellie Kuzma, Maggie Toczko, Morgan Manglaviti and Emily Karavitch had second-place finishes the lead the Tunkhanock girls.
Kuzma was second in the 200 and third in the 100. Toczko (3200), Manglaviti (javelin) and Karavitch (pole vault) had the other runner-up finishes.
Jack Tidball was on the 3200 in 9:40.46 and took third in the 1600 to lead the boys.
Brett Stage was second in the high jump.
Penn Relays
Dominic Hockenbury’s two state titles and multiple other running accomplishments earned the Lake-Lehman junior a chance to complete in the 121st Penn Relays in Philadelphia.
Hockenbury placed 14th out of 22 entries in the High School Boys 3000-Meter Championship race April 24 with a time of 8:48.67.
Title showdowns
Two Wyoming Valley Conference girls division titles will be decided in head-to-head showdowns in the Back Mountain on the final two days of the regular season.
Wyoming Area is at Lake-Lehman Monday, May 4 in a meeting of unbeaten for the Division 2 championship.
Defending champion Pittston Area is at Dallas Tuesday in Division 1. Dallas set up the matchup of unbeatens by defeating third-place Tunkhannock, 86-64, April 28 when Abby Zolner won both hurdles and the triple jump.
