Gate of Heaven School seventh and eighth-grade varsity teams recently participated in the annual Forensics Competition.
Forensics is a collection of speaking, acting, oral interpretation performed in groups with the goals of improving the communications skills and self-esteems of the students involved.
The top three teams advanced to the Diocesean competition at Holy Redeemer High School.
First-place winners were Megan Banks and Nicole Slavoski. Second-place winners were Maria Khoudary, Jennifer Ringsdorf and Jade Broody. Third-place winners were Casey Carty and Anna Layaou. Receiving Honorable Mention were Marguerite Kukoski, Zoe Zarola and Michelle Ash.
