The Dallas swimming teams both finished second in the Wyoming Valley Conference after the boys tied and the girls won Tuesday in season-ending meets against visiting Tunkhannock.

Dallas wrapped up a 9-1-1 season and secured a second-place boys finish behind champion Hazleton Area with a 90-90 tie with Tunkhannock.

The Mountaineers had already clinched second in the girls standings behind Wyoming Seminary and finished 11-1 with their 133-47 romp.

Shane Szczecinski and Dennis Dukinas each won two individual events and were part of a winning relay for Dallas.

Szczecinski won the 100- and 200-yard freestyle and swam the leadoff leg of the winning 400 freestyle relay.

Dukinas won the 100 breaststroke and 200 individual medley. He anchored the 400 relay.

J.R. Redmond was on both relay wins. Kevin Allen, Jason Puza, David Rinehimer and Zachary Blockus were each on one relay win.

Dylan Mislevy won two individual events and a relay for Tunkhannock. He won the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke and was part of the medley relay team.

Dyllan Henning and Julien Madus won an individual event and a relay.

Nico LaChase won diving.

Davis Tidball was on the medley relay win.

Missy Leonard won two individual events and two relays to lead the Dallas girls, who swept every event. She won by more than 10 seconds in both the 200 IM and 500 freestyle.

Gabby Spaciano won two events and a relay while Emma Thomas, Gabby Krochta and Abbey Sutzko each won one individual and two relay events.

Kaitlyn Van Etten and diver Jaelyn Shaver had the other individual wins.

Sydney Bittner, Hannah Thomas and Gina Kerrick were each part of one relay win.
