Alison Francis rallies Dallas past Coughlin in girls soccer

Alison Francis continued her early-season scoring spree Tuesday to keep Dallas unbeaten in Wyoming Valley Conference girls soccer.

Francis rallied Dallas from a pair of deficits by scoring four first-half goals in a 5-3 win over Coughlin.

The Mountaineers are 3-0-1 in the division.

Coughlin led 1-0 and 3-1 before Francis scored three goals in a span of 8 ½ minutes to put Dallas ahead, 4-3, at the half.

Francis assisted Olivia Delevan on the game’s final goal early in the second half.

Coughlin had a shot advantage in the game but Sarah Krokos made 15 saves for Dallas.

Chloe Weaver and Madison Brdaric each had two goals and an assist in Lake-Lehman’s WVC Division 2 romp.

Abby Paczewski added a goal and three assists.

Stephanie Ayers had a three-save shutout.

Wyoming Seminary scored once in each half to keep the Black Knights perfect through three WVC Division 2 games.

Returning all-stater Skylar Osenkarski had 12 kills to lead a 25-12, 25-7, 25-12 victory.

Corinna Scoblick led Lake-Lehman with 11 digs. Macenzi Barker had 11 assists.

Wyoming Seminary, a Class A state finalist a year ago, posted its second straight shutout to begin defense of its WVC Division 1 title.
