Caroline Banas became the first University of Scranton athlete to earn All-American honors in track and field March 10 with a seventh-place finish at the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Ala.

Banas cleared 5-6 at nationals. The Holy Redeemer graduate, a sophomore from Dallas, cleared a high of 5-7 ¼ in a Feb. 17 meet at Cornell University.

Ohio Wesleyan’s Cirrus Robinson won the event for the second straight year.
