DALLAS — Rosemary Luksha, of Larksville, will display her series of ballet posters on the Art Wall at the Back Mountain Memorial Library, 96 Huntsville Road, as part of her For the Love of Dance series during the month of October. The posters in this display were designed for performances for the Wilkes-Barre Ballet Theatre, the Ballet Northeast, the Scranton Ballet, and the Joan Harris Conservatory.

Luksha, who has been creating art since she could hold a pencil, started doing ballet illustration over 30 years ago when she was asked to illustrate a Northeast Regional Ballet Festival poster for Jozia Mieszkowski and has been illustrating ever since.

Luksha states, “I have always been fascinated with drawing faces and figures. When I started taking ballet at age 22 the entire art of dance positions and forms were so exquisitely entrancing to me, I just had to illustrate them.”

The works she creates are sold during different art shows as well as the Wyoming Valley Art League Third Friday Exhibits. Anyone interested in purchasing can contact the library for more information. All are welcome to stop in at the library and see her work during the month of October.
