DALLAS — The Back Mountain Memorial Library, 06 Huntsville Road, lists the following upcoming events:

This year’s Summer Reading program, “A Universe of Stories,” which commemorates the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing, is headed for re-entry! The “Splashdown!” final party is being held Aug. 22 at the library from 10 a.m. to noon. The Final Party is the culmination of Summer Reading’s fun and educational activities, and features games, crafts, and refreshments.

There’s still time to join the Dallas Lions Club at its seventh annual golf tournament at Irem Country Club on Thursday, Aug. 22 as a Captain & Crew setup, with four players to a team. Recruit your team now because the Lions dedicate the proceeds to the library. Work up an appetite for the dinner that follows at Appletree Terrace at Newberry Estates. The cost is $85 per person, which includes 18 holes of gold, a motorized cart, and the dinner. Call Joe at 570-262-7060 for more information.

Chair Yoga resumes Friday, Sept. 6, with the first of four sessions, from noon to 1 p.m. The cost is $40, which must be received by the deadline to sign up Aug. 30. This is a gentle yoga designed to increase flexibility and improve balance.

Monday Night Yoga will also start Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. It will run for six weeks with the exception of Oct. 14, Columbus Day. Cost is $10 a class, and the entire 6-class session must be paid for at registration. Expect a calming, moderately challenging workout. Stop in soon to sign up.
