Kiwanis Club of Dallas recently presented its annual Key Club Scholarship to Emily Burgit from Lake-Lehman Jr./Sr. High School.

Burgit will attend Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY, and will major in Biomedical Engineering.

She was a member of the Lake-Lehman Key Club for three years and held the positions of editor/webmaster and vice-president. While a student at Lake-Lehman, she participated in track and field, cross country, swimming, band/jazz band, and was a member of the National Honor Society. She was involved in many community service projects with Lake-Lehman School, Dallas Kiwanis Club, CEO, Autism Awareness Walk, and other civic and community organizations.
