DALLAS — The Back Mountain Memorial Library, 96 Huntsville Road, lists the following upcoming events:

There is still time to help the Library win $15,000, The new Fidelity Bank in the Dallas Shopping Center will award a $15,000 Impact Grant to the Back Mountain organization with the most votes from the community. Deadline is Friday, April 19. Daily voting is encouraged to make us tops in the Back Mountain. Stop in at the bank branch office at 2363 Memorial Highway in Dallas and vote for us.

If you have happy memories of visiting Hanson’s Amusement Park at Harveys Lake, come out for the hour-long film, “Round and Round.” Penn State Professor of Communications Bill Bachman will present this look at hand-carved carousels up and down the East Coast, including the Wintersteen carousel from Hanson’s. Join us Wednesday, April 17 at 7 p.m. for this fun program. Call to sign up.

We are grateful to Leggio’s Italian Ristorante for once again showing its support for the library. Dine at the restaurant on Monday, April 29, from 5 to 8 p.m. and a percentage of the total sales (eat-in, take-out, and gift card purchases) will benefit the Children’s Room Summer Reading Program. Bar sales are not included. While enjoying your meal, register to win a Leggio’s gift certificate. The restaurant is located at 64 East Center Hill Road in Dallas.

• The library will close at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18 and will be closed Friday, April 19 for Good Friday. We will be open Saturday, April 20.

• The Slightly Used Bookstore will be closed Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20 for the Easter holiday.

• The Friends of the Library will finish up their pre-order geranium sale soon. You have until Thursday, April 18 to get your orders in. Darling’s Farms and Greenhouses on Hildebrandt Road in Dallas Township provides the healthy, thriving flowers. Buy now and pick up your plants with your receipt at the farm between May 1 and 31. Single pots are $4, or you can buy 3 for $10. You have your choice of colors at pick-up.

• Don’t forget to buy your raffle tickets for the handmade quilt on display in the library. “Butterscotch Baskets” is being raffled off in conjunction with our annual summer auction. Tickets are now ready for sale, with chances at $2 each, or 3 for $5. The drawing will be held the last night of the auction and you don’t need to be present to win.
