DALLAS — The Back Mountain Memorial Library, 96 Huntsville Road, lists the following upcoming events:

Love Legos? The Children’s Room is offering a 6-week, Monday afternoon Lego Story Hour for children 3½ to 8 years old. Starting March 4, participants will hear two books read aloud, followed by a Lego-building challenge related to the stories. The programs will start at 4:45 and run to 5:30 p.m., with the last session April 8. All Legos will be provided. Call the library to register, as the program is filling up fast.

Spend “An Evening with the Presidents” Wednesday, March 13 at 6:30 p.m. Enjoy learning interesting facts about seven presidents, including Pennsylvania resident James Buchanan. Dr. Laurence Cook is a lifelong collector of presidential memorabilia, and will share some of his extensive collection with us. Please call to sign up for this very interesting and informative program.

If you’re an older tween or teen who likes to craft, come out on Saturday, March 9, at 2 p.m. for “Spring Flower Fling,” a session of making paper flowers from colorful cardstock. Express your creativity and welcome spring with these easy hyacinths. Call to sign up so we can anticipate the supplies needed.

Learning empathy is one of the vital skills a child needs to develop to lead a happy life. The 3-week session, Kindness Matters Story Hour, aims to lead attendees in seeing how showing kindness impacts the world around them. Each week will have two stories, a craft, and interaction. This special story time will meet Wednesdays March 20, 27, and April 3 from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m., and is geared for ages 3 to 8. Please call to sign up.

The Young Adult section is the place to be for “Nail Fun with Kelly,” an introduction to using “nail polish strips” to achieve fantastic nails. There is a $10 materials fee that covers the demonstration and a kit with supplies for two manicures and two pedicures, payable at the time of the program. Stop in Saturday afternoon, March 23 at 2 p.m. to see how to acquire salon results in minutes. Please call the Library to sign up.
