LEHMAN TWP. — Penn State Wilkes-Barre’s Alumni Society is proud to bring Nittany Lion fans in the Wyoming Valley a lineup of events for fall 2018.
The Alumni Society is partnering with J&J Deli (3101 Memorial Highway) in Dallas for the first official watch party of the 2018 football season on Saturday, Sept. 8. Join other Nittany Lion fans as Penn State takes on Pitt for an 8 p.m. kickoff. There will be game time drink specials, a 50/50 drawing and free Penn State swag. Reservations are not required but the number in your party is requested.
Join the Alumni Society on Friday, Oct. 12 as it heads to the Annual Homecoming Parade in State College. The bus leaves from the Penn State Wilkes-Barre parking lot at 1 p.m. sharp with a return time expected between 11 p.m and midnight. The cost is $10 at the time of registration and will be returned to you upon your attendance.
The Alumni Society will host its annual TV Tailgate on Saturday, Nov. 3.The tailgate, scheduled for Penn State’s match-up against the University of Michigan, boasts football tailgate -tyle food and drinks, as well as a halftime raffle, and a 50/50 drawing. The tailgate gets underway 30 minutes before the game’s kickoff (TBD) at The River Grille (670 N. River St. in Wilkes-Barre, and wraps up 30 minutes after the end of the game. Cost per person is $30 (all inclusive of food and beverages) and all attendees must be 21 years of age or older.
