After a weekend of snow and mixed precipitation, sunshine is expected in the Wyoming Valley through the midweek.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 17 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fair skies were reported.

Mostly sunny skies will kick off the week today, with a high near 25. Mostly clear skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 11.

Sunny skies are expected on Tuesday, with a high near 32. Partly cloudy skies will carry over into Tuesday night, with a low around 24.

Partly sunny skies are once again predicted on Wednesday, with a high near 37.

Clouds will return into Wednesday night, along with a slight chance of snow and freezing rain after 2 a.m. The low will be around 27.
