LEHMAN TWP. — Penn State Wilkes-Barre will offer 30 enrichment and five sports camps this summer for children in first through 12th grades.
New camps this year include Lil’ Lionettes PSU Dance Team, Video Game Creation, Creative Leadership, The Seeds of Leadership, Boys’ Basketball, and many more.
This year, camps will run from June 25 – June 29 and July 9 – July 13 with a morning session from 9 a.m. to noon, an afternoon session from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., and several full day camps. Select camps are being offered at the discounted price of $99 with early bird specials for those who sign up by April 22.
Penn State Wilkes-Barre Continuing Education is currently offering a limited number of scholarships for students wishing to attend the campus’ Summer Youth Programs.
The scholarships, underwritten by Procter & Gamble’s Live, Learn, and Thrive Program and the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Alumni Constituent Society, help defray the costs of attending the camps at Penn State Wilkes-Barre this summer. The scholarships will cover the cost of the camp tuition and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis for those who qualify.
Procter & Gamble’s Live, Learn, and Thrive is a global initiative offering assistance in more than 60 countries worldwide with a goal of providing physical, social, and educational support for children and adolescents. Similarly, the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Alumni Constituent Society’s mission is to assist area youth for the purpose of improving the academic and cultural experience of the campus enrollment and the University as a whole.
