DALLAS: The Daddow Isaacs, Inc., American Legion Post 672, Memorial Highway, will hold their 80th Memorial Day Parade, May 29. Services will be held on this solemn day of remembrance of our war veterans at multi locations.

The parade will form at Hilldonia Avenue, Dallas Township, between Saginaw and Church streets, at 8 a.m., and leave 9 a.m. sharp. The parade will make a right turn on Church Street and proceed northwest on Church Street to the Back Mountain Little League Field, on the left side of Church Street where a Memorial Day Service will be held.

Upon completion of the service, everyone will proceed south on Church Street to East Center Hill Road to Warden Cemetery where a short service will be held.

Following the service at the Warden Cemetery, the parade will travel via motorcade to the Chapel Lawn Cemetery Veteran’s Memorial where participants will take part in their Memorial Day Service at 11 a.m.

HUDSON: The Hudson VFW, LANI Post 6325, will h old its annual Memorial Day services commencing at 11 a.m., May 29, at the post home, 35-37 Cleveland St., Post officers and interested regular members are requested to be present at 10 a.m., prior to the official services. The community is invited to honor our deceased and living veterans. There will be a memorial service at the “Honor Roll” in Shanty Town at approximately 11:30 a.m.

LAFLIN: Laflin Borough will conduct a Memorial Day Ceremony 11 a.m., May 29, near the Creekside Park Memorial, to honor those Laflin residents that served our country.

There will be refreshments provided after the ceremony.

LUZERNE: The music ministry of Holy Family Parish will present a concert of sacred music 2 p.m., June 4, in the parish church, 574 Bennett St. This annual Pentecost Sunday concert will feature soloists and the Holy Family Parish adult choir under the direction of Linda McClosky Houck. The choir will be accompanied by an instrumental ensemble.

Admission is free and light refreshments will follow in the social hall.
