DALLAS — Registrations are now being accepted for the Youth Music Camp at Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas.
Open to singers ages 8 to 15 from area Catholic parishes, the camp will take place from 9:30 a.m. to noon daily from Monday, Aug. 6 to Friday, Aug. 10 and will culminate with a children’s liturgy at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 12. Campers will be treated to a pool party on the final day of camp, and an ice cream social will follow the liturgy on Aug. 12.
Daily activities will include choir rehearsals, games and brief talks that will explore the history of the Scranton Diocese and the local church.
Camp director is Anthony J. Kubasek, who conducts the youth choir at Gate of Heaven. Registration deadline in Aug. 3.
To register, call the church at 675-2121 between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. No fee will be charged for participation in the camp.
