Dallas High School cross country runner Regan Rome crossed the finish line in fourth place at the 2012 foot Locker Cross Country Championships â?? Northeast Regional at Van Cortlandt park, Bronx, New York on Nov. 27 with a time of 18:14.
The win earned Rome the opportunity to compete in the national finals.
The top 10 boys and the top 10 girls in the Northeast Regional seeded races qualified to compete against runners from the South, Midwest and West Regional meets in the Foot Locker Cross Country Championships National Finals on Saturday, Dec.8 at Morley Field, Balboa Park in San Diego, Calif.
