Memories of Audrey

Audrey Billings' ritual of enjoying ice cream and coffee at 9:00 every evening was remembered during an ice cream social Aug. 11 at the Trucksville United Methodist Church.

Billings, of Trucksville, died at age 89 last year.

In her memory, Audrey's Ice Cream Social offered patrons a bowl of ice cream with several toppings in exchange for a free will offering.

The event raised money for Four Corners Native American Ministry, the church's mission focus for the month of August. All money donated to the church in August will benefit the organization, a Navajo cooperative parish of the New Mexico Annual Conference.
