WILKES-BARRE – Adam Dizbon scored 12 of his game-high 14 points in the second half, leading Lake-Lehman to a 40-37 victory over Holy Redeemer in Wyoming Valley Conference Division II boys basketball on Friday night.


Pete Borum added 12 for the Black Knights (1-0 Div. II, 4-4 overall).


Mike Boutanos had 12 points and Brian Banas added 11 for Redeemer (0-1, 1-8).

After both offenses struggling in the opening half, the Spartans outscored Tunkhannock 14-3 in the third quarter to pull away.


Olivia Hoffman scored 14 points to pace Wyoming Valley West, which led 9-7 at halftime. Tara Judge, Savannah Piazza and Cassie Smicherko each had seven.


Ashleigh Nafus led Tunkhannock with six points.
