United Water Pennsylvania is asking customers in the Back Mountain to conserve water during the current storm. The company issued the following press release:

Storm damage from Hurricane Sandy has resulted in power outages causing reduced water service to United Water customers in Dallas, Dallas Township, Shavertown, Harvey's Lake and Noxen. The company is working to establish alternate power supply sources that will increase the volume of water to these areas. Customers in each of these areas are asked to conserve water until further notice in order to prolong the supply of water in the company's storage tanks.

We will appreciate your emphasis on the need for United Water customers in these areas to CONSERVE WATER UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
