KINGSTON - Luzerne County Detectives and Kingston Police are executing a search warrant at 34 John St., Kingston, as part of an investigation into two unlicensed physicians who allegedly defrauded a man out of $20,000.

First Assistant District Attorney Sam Sanguedolce said the victim, whom he did not identify, claimed he paid the suspects to provide an expert medical opinion for a medical malpractice case, but they never did so.

The man paid the suspects over a one-year period before becoming suspicious and contacting authorities, Sanguedolce said.  Investigators identified the suspects as David A. Rigle and Deborah J. McMenamin, who are brother and sister.
