Inaugural Dallas High School Wiffle Ball Classic to benefit graduation lock-in will be held May 15

DALLAS TWP. — Due to inclement weather Sunday, May 1, the inqugural Dallas High School Wiffle Ball Classic was postponed and will take place on the scheduled rain date, Sunday, May 15. Teams will play from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Those wishing to enter a team should contact lock-in co-chair Trudy McAndrew at 570-852-9205. The updated deadline for registration is Friday, May 6.

Spectators are invited to bring blankets and/or chairs to the event. Door prizes and food will be available for purchase.

This lock-in fundraiser will take place on the high school ball field, located between the Dallas High School and middle school. Champion and second place medals will be awarded, and this year’s winning team name will be the first engraved on a community plaque.

The annual Dallas High School Lock-In is a drug, alcohol and tobacco-free graduation night party that treats the new grads to a special last night of fun and games with their fellow classmates before continuing on with the next chapter of their lives. The committee is tasked with the raising of all funds and planning for the event.
