For the second weekend in three weeks, the Tunkhannock wrestling team won a tournament championship when it claimed the title at the Sheetz Classic, Dec. 18-19, in Cresson.
The Tigers won the Wyalusing Duals on the opening weekend of the season, Dec. 5, topping the host Rams, who are always one of the toughest teams in District 4, to claim the title.
Among the noteworthy performances at the Sheetz Classic for Tunkhannock was Dakota Quick breaking the school’s pin record.
With a fall in the tourney’s 132-pound semifinals, Quick picked up career pin No. 60 to break the previous mark that stood for 33 years, set in 1992 by Bob Farber.
