LEHMAN TWP. — A Back Mountain Trick or Treat Neighborhood will be held from 6:15 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31 at the Luzerne County Fairgrounds.

Parents, community members and volunteers are looking to provide a safe, controlled and fun Halloween experience for both children and residents. The fairgrounds will simulate a neighborhood and kids will walk the fairground streets to collect candy. At the end of the neighborhood, there will be a DJ, cider and a dance party to end the night. There will also be a surprise event for older children.

This is a Back Mountain event for all Trick or Treaters in our neighborhoods.

The event is free and is running on candy and cash donations to make this event possible.

Residents are asked to consider making a donation or setting up a decorated stand in the neighborhood. Stands will be judged so bring your imagination.

The Dallas Days Bicentennial Pumpkin Decorating Contest will also be held at this event. Decorate a pumpkin and bring it to the Kiwanis Booth at the fairgrounds beginning at 6 p.m. Look for the booth with the big Bicentennial sign. Pumpkins will be judged and prizes will be awarded.
