The chance for showers will creep back into the forecast as the Wyoming Valley approaches the weekend.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 56 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fog and mist were reported.

Patchy fog is expected before noon today — otherwise, sunny skies are expected, with a high near 82.

Partly cloudy skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 64.

Cloudy skies will kick off the day on Wednesday, but will gradually clear as the day progresses. The high will be near 76.

Partly cloudy skies will follow into Wednesday night, along with a 30 percent chance of showers into the overnight hours. The low will be around 55.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected on Thursday, along with a 50 percent chance of showers. The high will be near 69.

Rain will be likely into Thursday night, but no precipitation amounts have been predicted. The low will be around 55.
