Sunshine, warm temperatures expected for the rest of the week

Sunny skies and warm temperatures are in the forecast for the Wyoming Valley for the rest of the week.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 59 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fair skies were reported.

Areas of fog are possible before 11 a.m. today — otherwise, cloudy skies will gradually clear. The high will be near 85.

Clear skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 53.

Patchy fog will be possible before 11 a.m. Thursday, but sunny skies are expected otherwise. The high will be near 84.

Mostly clear skies will carry over into Thursday night, with a low around 58.

Mostly sunny skies will round out the week on Friday, with a high near 83. Partly cloudy skies will follow into Friday night, with a low around 55.
