Scattered areas of minor, heavy traffic congestion reported this morning

Commuters could encounter some scattered areas of traffic congestion on the ride into work this morning.

Areas of heavy congestion are reported in the northbound lanes of Interstate 81 south of Dupont, while isolated areas of minor congestion are reported on Interstate 476. Isolated areas of minor congestion are also reported on Routes 315 and 115.

The North Cross Valley Expressway is free of congestion, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps. The South Cross Valley Expressway is also free of congestion.

Downtown, scattered areas of minor and heavy congestion are reported on Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and onto South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard. Areas of minor congestion are also reported on North and South Pennsylvania avenues, North Main Street and North River Street.

Hazle Street is also reporting heavy congestion near South Main Street.

In Kingston, scattered areas of minor congestion are reported on Market Street, while heavier congestion is reported on Wyoming Avenue.
