The Wyoming Valley could see some scattered thunderstorms into the latter part of the week.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 64 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and partly cloudy skies were reported.

Mostly sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 87. Partly cloudy skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 66.

Partly sunny skies are predicted for Wednesday, along with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the high will be near 87.

Mostly cloudy skies will follow into Wednesday night, along with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the low will be around 70.

Partly sunny skies are expected Thursday, along with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. The high will be near 88.

Mostly cloudy skies will follow into Thursday night, along with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. The low will be around 71.
