Traffic free for the start of the weekend

The Wyoming Valley is free of any major traffic to start the first summer weekend after Memorial Day.

Free-flowing traffic is reported on Interstates 80, 81 and 476. Into the Back Mountain on route 309 and Bear Creek on 115 are also free of any traffic delays.

Highway 315 into Pittston, Wyoming and Carey Avenues as well as the Sans Souci Parkway are also clear of any traffic.

There are minor spots of congestion on the on-off ramps of North and South Cross Valley. Route 11 also has pockets of minor delays.

On Wilkes-Barre Boulevard, stop and go traffic at the lights and intersections are reported.
